Up for auction is one pack of approximately 100 Cleome Queen mixed color flower seeds. Unique large feather heads that are 6″ in red, violet, pink, and white color. For zones 3-10 Cleome generally last through mid summer to your first frost in the fall.

PLEASE NOTE: The U.S. Postal Service is running very slow on deliveries, and shipments that would normally take 2-3 days are taking up to 7-10 business days.  We have no control on how long they take to deliver.  If you need your seeds by a certain time we do offer 2 day upgraded shipping with the U.S. Postal Service.

CULTURE

Soil temperature: 70 – 80 degrees fahrenheit
Germination lighting: Dark
Germination days: 10 days
Plant spread: 12 inches
Plant height:  36”
Seed Count: 100
Plant type: Annual
Maturation days: 60 days

Best started early in pots about 30 days before your last frost in the spring. You will get better germination results if you cold treat for 30 days by placing 1/4 cup of sand, peat, or potting soil in a baggie and adding one packet of seeds and one tablespoon of water. Place this baggie in your refrigerator (not your freezer) for 30 day.  When starting in pots Cleome prefers dark to germinate so lightly cover with approximately 1/4″ of potting mix.

If you live in zones 3-7 you can direct sow these outdoors in late fall after your first hard freeze.  Sow them in a spot that gets sun in the winter and lightly cover with soil.
